Kim Owens, Practice Manager
Kim landed at the front desk of Rainbow City Pet Clinic on September
15, 2000 after graduating from Gadsden Business College. Born and raised
in Tucson, Arizona, she joined the Navy and traveled half way around
the world to Holy Loch, Scotland to meet her soul mate, Johnny from
Cherokee County, Alabama. Together they built their dream home and now
reside in Leesburg, Alabama. They have two sons, Zach and Justin, and
three girls Sheba (the black lab), Mallory (a Pomeranian) and Frenchie
(a domestic shorthair cat). In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time
with her family and friends at the lake.
Sue Moske, L.V.T., Supervisor
Sue is a graduate of Southside High School. She attended Snead State
Community College and received an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary
Technology in 1999. She has worked at Rainbow City Pet Clinic as a licensed
technician since March of 1999. In 2004 Sue went back to school to get
her LPN nursing degree at Gadsden State Community College. She has a
daughter named Jordan who attends Saint James School and who keeps her
busy in her spare time. Together they have four cats, Simon, Cedric,
Sam and Sister and a pet squirrel named Runtlet. Sue enjoys horseback
riding and working in her yard.
Erica Brown, LVT
Erica a native to Georgia graduated from Pepperell High School in 2000,
before moving to Alabama to attend Jacksonville State University to
study Elementary Education. She transferred to Snead State Community
College where she received an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary
Technology in 2005. She lives with her newlywed husband Shannon on their
family farm in Ballplay, Alabama. Erica enjoys fishing, farming, riding
horses and spending time at home (when she can) with her husband, their
chocolate lab Strayger and cat Rajah.
is our groomer at Rainbow City Pet Clinic. She lives in Steele Alabama
with her husband of 30 years, Tim. They have a married daughter
Michelle and a new son-in-law Chris. Tim and Bernice are both animal
lovers. They have a black miniature schnauzer named Brandi and a blue
heeler named Ritzi, which helps control their horses and cows when
they get out of hand. They also have 2 grand dogs, Charlie Brown (Dachshund)
and Calvin (St. Bernard/Australian Shepard mix). For the past twenty
or so years while their daughter was growing up they enjoyed showing
their racking horses. Now the whole family takes care of horses and
several head of cattle. In her spare time Bernice enjoys attending
Arts and Craft Shows and going to dog contests with Brandi for fun.
She also likes working in her yard and riding her four-wheeler.
Bernice has been grooming pets for 20 years and loves her special friends.
She enjoys the special stories her clients tell her about their babies
and loves it when their pets get excited and run to the door when they
time to go see Bernice”!
